I saw this photo on Pinterest at Christmas while I was trying to figure out what to draw with my new charcoal pencils. I knew I wanted to draw a child, because I have drawn adult portraits before. I was drawn to this girl’s photo mostly because of how sad her eyes looked, and also the expression of sadness on her face. I titled this piece of art “Hope” because I feel like we all need a bit of that right now.
