lightning bug
I chose to portray the feeling of confinement in my piece. I felt it tied in with how people are dealing with lockdown. I think that people can identify with the bug and the person with the jar because of the tired expression and the glass walls the bug is held in. I chose to add flowers to the base of the jar to show the good effects that lockdown has had on the country and the tears the bug has shed as the sad effects that covid has had on us. I chose to draw a lightning bug as a sign of hope.
