Face of the present
This piece is based on the theme of covid. The mask is made from paper pulp from the newspaper articles with headlines referring to the global pandemic. The face mask on the sculpture itself is scattered with headlines from the start of the pandemic in Whuhan China. The chalk art that surrounds the sculpture represents all the new strains of the virus and their countries of origin. I did this in chalk to give us hope that we will in the near future be able to wipe the world clean of Covid-19
