This piece was created during the lockdown. It is of one of my best friends, Ava. The piece captures Ava’s cheeky nature by the almost-smiling mouth of the sculpture, as if she were just about to burst out laughing. The water dripping down the head symbolises how Ava and I met, at the local swimming pool, where we were in the same swim group. This piece displays my love and appreciation I have for Ava, and shows both the past and present of our friendship, and also the future.
