At a distance
In this piece I wanted to convey how many elderly people in our community are feeling in these bleak times. For many, the only contact to be had with loved ones may be through a window pane, and I wanted to incorporate that sense of loneliness and yearning for touch into my drawing. While this is a disheartening and distressing time for everyone to deal with, the elderly in particular, we will get through it together with our family and friends, albeit at a distance.
