Finding Polar Bears
While homeschooling my Mum told me a story about a lady who's job it was to find polar bears in the snow in Canada. She looks for paw prints but that can be difficult in a huge area covered in Ice and not easy to see from the air. Instead they look for birds as they fly away from the sound of the helicopter. Why birds? Because birds feed on the remains of a seal caught by a polar bear. Find the birds and the polar bear will be nearby!
