Holding On
I thought a lot about the theme 'This is Now.' One of the many defining moments of our time is the pandemic and I felt this was important to reference. I drew myself holding on to my sketchbook, as I wanted to portray the importance of art to many of us right now. It’s difficult to be apart from loved ones, but having a place like my sketchbook has been a true comfort. I’ve learned how much art can help in hard times and I wanted that to shine through in my work.
