Why the long face?

When creating this piece, I thought about what emotion everyone was collectively feeling during these times. I went straight for sadness. Some people are grieving, some are tired and lonely, others have given up or been given up on. I chose blue as the base of my entire piece because I believe blue represents sadness in most ways. The girl I created is tired, unkept, scared, sad and alone. The bubbles and the pops represent our “social bubbles” one by one being destroyed.
